How It Works

  • Click Registration Form to register your team
  • Contestants will receive a confirmation message upon successful registration
  • Registration Deadline: 24 April 2022
  • All teams are required to attend an online briefing & design workshop
  • This online workshop will guide contestants through the process of fashion drawing and techniques by a professional fashion designer(s)
  • Workshop Date: 14 May 2022
  • Each team must design the SIS School Uniform set as specified in the Round 1 Requirements
  • All designs to be submitted under the account created earlier
  • Round 1 Submission Deadline: 31 May 2022
  • ROUND 1 REQUIREMENTS
    Design Items
    Each team to design the SIS School Uniform Set that comprises the following:
    1. Formal Wear: Male: Shirt & Long Pants, AND Female Shirt & Skirt/Skort
    2. Casual Wear : Unisex: Polo Shirt
    3. Sports Wear : Unisex: Sport Shirt & Short Pants
    Note: SIS New Logo must be placed on the left chest of each uniform design

    Design Submissions : Either hand-drawn or digital illustrations are accepted. (Finished outfits are not required in Round 1)

    Submission Format :
    1. Each team may submit only one (1) set of uniform design.
    2. Design to be submitted in JPEG format
    3. Each file must not exceed 2MB
    4. File Name : <Team Name>_<Design Specification> Example: Marvel_FormalMaleShirt.jpg

Teams that have been shortlisted proceed to Round 2, which consist of the following:

  • Online Submission of Completed Collection
  • Online Voting
  • Tailoring

ONLINE SUBMISSION OF COMPLETED COLLECTION

  • Shortlisted teams will continue in Round 2 with their submitted Round 1 design as final. No change to the final design is permitted without prior approval from the organiser
  • Round 2 Submission Deadline: 4 July 2022
  • ROUND 2 : SUBMISSION OF COMPLETED COLLECTION REQUIREMENTS
    Additional Design Items
    Each shortlisted team will extend their previous design concept to include the following items as part of their complete design collection
    1. SIS Blazer & Tie
    2. SIS Sweater
    3. SIS Baju Kurung (Female)

    Design Submissions : Either hand-drawn or digital illustrations are accepted
    Submission Format : Submit your design in JPEG Format

ONLINE VOTING

  • The completed design collection will be published for public voting
  • Public voting period: July 2022
  • The team with the most online votes will receive the ‘People’ Choice Award’
  • The winner will also receive additional 10% points towards Competition Finale score

TAILORING

  • Shortlisted teams will work with the appointed tailor to produce the complete school uniform set from Round 1 and Round 2 online submission. All finished outfits will be showcased at the SIS Uniform Design Competition Finale for final judging
  • Each team is responsible for explaining and communicating their design details to the appointed tailor for outfit execution
  • Tailoring period: June – July 2022

THIS IS IT! All collections will be shown at the Competition Finale. More information about the Competition Finale will be communicated closer to the event

Summary:

  • Finalists must attend and present their school uniform collection in a fashion runway for final judging
  • Tentative date and venue : 5 August 2022, Sunway City KL
  • At the finale, finalists can model and parade their own designs and/or engage models to do so
